So, I got in to work around 8am this morning... I didn't start until 10:30. I fell asleep on the couch. With no cigs, and no money I felt it was unneccisary to stay awake.
I woke up fifteen minutes before my shift, Susan gave me a smoke.. I geared up. It was busy as all hell, Sundays often are.
But seriously.... Sometimes we have to put our hands on one another, which is fine. Its a way of showing each other where we are. Like a horse. Today Rita and Pasha were shoving me. It was more aggressive than ever before. I told them to stop it a few times, calmly.....
Finally I told them that if it didn't stop immediatly I was leaving and not finishing my shift.
No one touched me after that. Which is a good thing for them because I was very very serious about that. I have a short fuse at work. I know it, but its a fucking stressful job. Cooking for hungry people, they're on edge, servers are on edge, and in turn, so am I. ESPECIALLY on dayshifts.
So, my statement was my title. "If anyone else fucking shoves me.. I'm leaving."
Moe pipes up, "WHY DO YOU ALWAYS THINK PEOPLE ARE SHOUTING AT YOU?!?!?"
"Shoving, Moe. Pushing. If anyone else pushes me I will leave."
"Oh. That's different story."
Yah, thanks for that update, goof. This is where I slap her and tell her "I'm RICK JAMES, bitch!!!"
Okay, so.. no.. I didn't bitchslap my headgrill. But they tried to call me back to get strawberry ice cream. I snuck out the back door. After everything I did today, you can't bring a bucket of ice cream into the kitchen? Bite me, hags.
After work I went and met Jacquie, who took me to McDonalds and gave me some cigarettes. My temperment has done a complete 180 turnaround. Though it was only 7 cigs, its enough to keep me relatively sane for now.
So now, I'm in Ridge, and listening to Billy Joel. Can't get much better than that, now can you?
I luv ridge.
I'm gunna write more substantial things later. My creative juices get flowing after dark.
In the meantime....
RITA
I knew it was her even before I read the entry.
take her down no one deserves to work under those conditions.
I might just have to...
